One way to improve your sleep safety is to ensure you are getting good quality sleep at night. If you wake up frequently or still feel tired even after sleeping eight hours, you may need to be tested for sleep apnea. Sleep apnea causes your body to stop breathing frequently through the night and your body's response is to wake you slightly to ensure you start breathing again. There are several reasons why you may not sleep well at night. One reason that's often overlooked is if you have had a disagreement with a loved one. Having a positive interaction with a loved one before bed can improve your sleep!
Another reason may be the type of clothes you wear to bed. If you are generally chilly, pick sleepwear that is warm such as flannel or silk. If you are generally hot try wearing light, breathable sleepwear to bed.
Don't forget to consider the temperature and darkness in the room!
