The How-to’s of Oral Health Care

Daily oral care and brushing greatly affect health of older adults. Learn about better daily oral care for older adults, its impact on overall well-being, aids that can improve your oral care, and chronic illnesses and medications that worsen oral health.
Presenter: Loretta J Seidl RDH, MHS, ECP II
Over the past 25 years, Letty has taught individuals how to provide daily oral care and recognize oral health problems that need dental referrals. The training allows caregivers to provide quality, up-to-date care to individuals.
Letty graduated from Wichita State University with a B.S., Dental Hygiene, and a Master of Health Science in Education/Administration. Earlier in her career, she served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at Wichita State University (WSU). She also holds an Extended Care Permit II from the Kansas Dental Board, which allows her to work with elders in long-term care facilities.
